POWER-UP ELECTRIC

June 1st, 2006

Jeremy decided to branch out of the new-construction side of the family run business and founded a residential electrical service company. This company was called Power Up Electric! As the company grew, Darryl joined the Power Up team to help out the family business. The Power Up Electric business was later consolidated into Service Stars.

24-HOUR HEATING & A/C

Kyle was working in the HVAC industry since 1999 and in 2009 he decided to start an HVAC home service company called 24 Hour Heating & Air-Conditioning. While operating solo for a bit, the idea to team up with his brothers started to develop. This business eventually was consolidated into Service Stars.

SERVICE STARS INC.

The idea for a complete home service company was hatched. As three brothers, we already operated an HVAC & Electrical home service company under different business names. It was at this point that we consolidated our business under one roof: Service Stars. This is also when we decided to add plumbing to our services (although this didn't work out as planned...)

THE PEMBROKE SHOP

Until this time, Service Stars was operating out of a home basement/garage. We moved into our current location at 48 Pembroke Rd, Danbury, CT. in the spring of 2013. It was a big step for us but was necessary to continue to grow. To this day, it is the current center of operations for our technicians!

PLUMBING SERVICES SUSPENDED

As a company, we struggled to find a solution to our plumbing needs. We had more and more plumbing demands coming in, but we failed to find a reliable plumber. In 2015, we decided to notify all current customers that we suspended all plumbing work until we found a plumber that could deliver the same level of service as our other departments.

PLUMBING SERVICES RESTORED!

It wasn't an easy decision to suspend our plumbing services in 2015; it felt like taking a step backward. However, in 2018 we found an excellent opportunity to add an exceptional master plumber to our staff. With the addition of a skilled & experienced plumber to our team, we were able to offer plumbing services again and revamped our club membership to accommodate a whole-home service plan!

We have seen much growth over the years, but 2018 was our highest-grossing year at that point. We achieved over $1,500,000 in residential sales! We couldn't have reached this level without the support from our clients. We appreciate you choosing us for your home service needs!

COVID-19 & LOCKDOWN

The global pandemic disrupted peoples' lives & businesses on an unprecedented scale. Our business was no exception to this uneasy time period. With the mandatory lockdown in Connecticut, social distancing, and other enforced procedures to prevent the spread of the virus, we had to adapt tremendously to keep the business going.

Several necessary adjustments were made that felt uncomfortable & unnatural to do. Thankfully, we were able to navigate through uncharted waters while preserving our goal to deliver the best services to our clients safely.

REBRANDING

Feb. 16th, 2022

Our man in the star logo was feeling a bit dated for the modern times & what the company had become. Over a decade, what started as a tiny family business had grown into a skilled team of individuals who make the Service Stars experience an amazing one inside & out. We felt a need to give the brand a fresh coat of paint that reflected the standards we live by & the experience we aim to deliver for all our clients.

Thanks to the talented team at KickCharge Creative, new life was breathed into the look & feel of Service Stars!

THE MAIN ST OFFICE

Our shop could only hold so many of us as the team grew. After many renovations, we found a new home downtown at 345 Main St, Danbury, CT for our client care reps & marketing team to operate from! Our service & installation technicians continue to operate from our Pembroke Shop.
